Radicalization and extremism are serious challenges faced by the global community, including in Indonesia, where Islamic law is often misunderstood and misused by certain groups to justify violent acts. This article discusses the role of Islamic law in preventing radicalization, emphasizing the importance of a proper and moderate understanding of religious teachings. A strategy of religious moderation (wasatiyyah) is proposed as an effective alternative to counter extremism, emphasizing the principles of tolerance, justice, and respect for differences. In addition, this article explores how moderate Islamic education and technology can be important tools in spreading moderate narratives and countering radical ideologies. The research method used in this article is a literature review with a qualitative approach, where current literature sources related to Islamic law, religious moderation, and radicalization are analyzed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the topic. The results show that first, the role of Islamic Law in Preventing Radicalization: A proper understanding of Islamic law, which emphasizes the values of justice and moderation, can reduce the misuse of teachings for radical interests. Research shows that the integration of teachings that emphasize compassion and tolerance in interpreting Islamic law can be an effective deterrent to radicalization.
